Julian Tan

Head of Growth & Esports

Julian Tan joined Formula 1® in July 2017 and is responsible for shaping the digital strategy and transformation of F1 including leading high growth initiatives such as F1 Esports.

Prior to this, Julian was a Senior Consultant at global management consulting firm The Boston Consulting Group. Here he helped some of the world’s most important organisations, from FMCG companies to global banks and energy firms to solve their biggest problems including spearheading their digital strategies and transformations.

Julian holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees with distinction in engineering from Oxford University, and a PhD in the micromechanics of composite materials from Cambridge University.

Chad Seigler

Vice President, International Business Development & Partnerships

Chad Seigler, NASCAR Vice President, International Business Development and Partnerships, is a 20-year sports industry veteran. He currently oversees all commercial and revenue growth for NASCAR’s international business platforms.

Seigler’s team is tasked with developing and growing business relationships across the globe, including NASCAR’s three international series – NASCAR Pinty’s Series in Canada, NASCAR PEAK Mexico Series and NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. He is based in Charlotte, North Carolina and manages team members in Los Angeles and Daytona Beach, Florida.

In his previous position as Vice President, Business Development, Seigler played a critical role securing Monster Energy as the entitlement partner of NASCAR’s premier series. He was responsible for developing business strategy and revenue generation for NASCAR.

He also served as Vice President, Team Marketing Services, functioning as a liaison to all NASCAR teams across three national series as well as an advisor to team owners, track presidents and NASCAR drivers. He managed details of more than 90 live events at 27 race tracks across the country.

Prior to joining NASCAR in 2007, Seigler was Manager of Industry Relations at Sprint NEXTEL, where he served as the day-to-day liaison to all NEXTEL Cup track venues and managed the series sponsor relationships with NASCAR drivers, teams and owners.


David Gibbs

Digital Product Director

David Gibbs is Director of Digital Media for Sky Sports and Sky News.

He has worked at Sky for over a decade in a number of different roles, all focusing on the digital platform, sports and news. During his time he has developed Sky’s digital, product and commercial offerings as the company has developed into a multi-platform media company across television, the internet and on mobile.

David has been responsible for the expansion and execution of multiple online, mobile, tablet and interactive TV platforms provided by the business.

Currently David is heading up a team that is delivering cross-platform digital media for all of Sky Sports and Sky News.

Ben Payne

Director of Esports

Ben joined McLaren in November 2017, the first full time esports employee in Formula 1, having previously held roles at Xbox, Windows, SEGA, 2K and Future Publishing. McLaren was the first team to run an esports program that year with World’s Fastest Gamer.

In 2018 as part of his remit for the growth and development of McLaren’s esports strategy Ben oversaw the launch of McLaren Shadow Project. Additionally, Ben is Team Manager of the McLaren Shadow esports team, which is competing for the first time this coming Autumn in the F1 esports series.

Darren Cox

Chief Marketing Officer & European Managing Director

Darren is a motor industry innovator with over 20 years experience. His previous success with Nissan and Sony in coming up with the concept of GT Academy and deploying it for 8 years paved the way for Esports within the racing game genre and is still considered to be the benchmark to this day.

During those 8 years GT Academy gamers, who won the chance to compete in the real world though the programme, went on to win some of the worlds biggest GT races and series, showing for the first time the huge talent pool that exists in the virtual world.

Since leaving his role as Global Motorsport director for Nissan, Darren has founded  two gaming focused companies and has remained at the forefront at the crossover of gaming into racing, launching the Worlds Fastest Gamer Brand and working behind the scenes with some of the biggest Brands in F1, gaming and the automotive industry.

Marc De Jong

Director of Commercial Development

Marc de Jong has been part of the commercial team behind the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) for the past 18 seasons.  At WRC Promoter GmbH, he is chiefly responsible for the commercial relationships with the automotive sector – including OEMs and leading suppliers.   Among his other commercial projects is the licensing and development of WRC’s Interactive Gaming franchise, which comprises the WRC’s Official Video Games and eSports WRC Championship powered by Hyundai.

He has extensive international experience in the general automotive sector, motorsports, events and broadcasting.  Marc has competed as an international rally co-driver, and worked at the highest levels of various motor sports on projects with major brands and series promoters for over 25 years.


Jennie Gow


Jennie Gow is a journalist, broadcaster and event host who broke into the world of Formula One motor racing in 2010 and has since become renowned as one of the sport’s foremost media professionals.

One of the few women to work in this demanding arena, Jennie is currently to be found presenting and reporting on Formula One for both the BBC and ESPN.

Jennie was at the forefront of the ground-breaking Formula E Championship since its inception in 2014 as the lead host and presenter for ITV.

Alongside her commitments for the BBC and ITV, Jennie also hosts annual live events days such as Goodwood Festival of Speed and award ceremonies like The Motorsport Hall of Fame.

Most recently Jennie has presented and produced the BBC’s Human Endeavour Show bringing Alex Zanardi and Billy Monger together for a special programme for the channel.

Hamish Maingay

Product Manager - Commercial

Hamish is responsible for digital and commercial products at Formula 1. Most recently this has been overseeing the launch of their OTT service – F1’s biggest investment in its digital transformation to date.

He loves the emotion that live sport evokes and is passionate about building digital products that enhance those feelings for sports fans around the world.

Prior to working at Formula 1, Hamish worked on some of the world’s largest sporting events creating web, mobile and digital video experiences with a range of federations & broadcasters.

Paul Budd

Head of Global Partnerships

Paul Budd is the Head of Global Partnerships for Allianz SE based in Munich, Germany.  Now entering his 10th year with Allianz, Paul has spent his career in Brand Management, Digital Marketing and Direct distribution in a variety of different leadership roles across the Allianz Group.

After spending 3 years as Regional Board Member for Marketing in Central and Eastern European markets, Paul recently took up the responsibility of guiding the Global Partnerships to new heights by maximising Allianz brand engagement the creation of new commercial and customer values.

Paul’s portfolio and remit extends across multiple industries and partnership models, ranging from Allianz’ equity platforms of Formula E, Drone Racing League and Bayern Munich, to the IOC and Museum of Modern Art.

Scott Tilton

Chief Executive

A born entrepreneur, Scott invested everything as a child into his first passion…competing in sports. Shortly after college in 2001, his former life as an athlete interconnected with a natural business sense and SponsorHouse was born.

The original mission was simple…support and connect athletes with sponsors through the ‘Internet’…the first concept of its kind. That vision later evolved into Hookit, which pioneered the sponsorship technology and analytics space (Spontech).

Today, Hookit aggregates billions of data points from social and digital platforms and uses machine learning and predictive analytics to provide real-time insights and valuations for brands and properties to quantify and maximize sports sponsorships.

Yan Lefort

Commercial Director

Started as junior PR for the Rothmans brand involved in F1 in 1994 with the Williams Team. Initiated lifestyle PR projects and launched the first digital communication tools in the sport. Joined British American Tobacco as the Global PR Manager for the Lucky Strike brand involved in F1 with the AR team.

Became independent and ran Yan Lefort Consulting from 2006 to 2010. The agency, based out of Paris and London provided strategic PR support to brands willing to activate their respective sponsorship programs in the F1, A1GP and GT1 championships. The consultancy was also managing the image of the F1 world champion Jacques Villeneuve.

In  2011, Yan joined IWC in Switzerland to manage the global partnership programs, to include the Mercedes F1 sponsorship. In August 2018, Yan joined the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team as Commercial Director.

Harry Neuhaus

Head of Partnership

Harry Neuhaus is the Senior Director of Business Development & Partnerships at The Drone Racing League (DRL), the premier, international drone racing circuit, where he leads partnerships with world-renowned brands including Allianz, BMW, Swatch, Cox Communications and the U.S. Air Force.

A pioneer in experiential and digital marketing, Harry has more than 25 years of experience in sponsorship, online, cable and broadcast media sales, as well as branded entertainment initiatives with brands including Yahoo!, MTV, CNN, Cartoon Network, and GolTV. He has created numerous cross-border marketing programs for clients including General Motors, Nissan, Volkswagen, Sprint, Disney Home Video and Fox Sports en Espanol, among others.

Bhushan Patil

SVP, Communication, Media & Entertainment

Bhushan currently heads Communications Media and Entertainment Business in UK,
Ireland & Southern Europe. He is also Executive Sponsor for Alliances in Europe. He is
driving Strategy and Roadmap for Multi-Disciplined and multi-Geo Revenue growth in
CME Vertical in the UK and new growth regions like Ireland, Spain and Italy. Bhushan is
industry acclaimed speaker on Sports and OTT side of the business with special focus on
Motor Sports.

Bhushan also drives key TechMNxt agenda by building relationships with Innovative Start
Ups, Academia, Technology Partners and Analysts to establish Tech Mahindra as a
Trusted Partner, who will deliver as per fast evolving customer needs.

Bhushan has spent 27 years in B2B Consultative Sales & Sales Management. He is based
in Europe for 19 years, selling Business / Technology Solutions at CXO levels.
Starting at Siemens, he has extensively worked in growing existing relationships as well as
developing new clients. He set up and grew European practices for 3 IT organisations,
across Europe in multiple verticals like Telecom, PES etc.

Bhushan holds Electronics & Telecom degree from Government College of Engineering,
Pune and Masters Degree in Finance from Bajaj Institute of Management Studies,
Mumbai. He is also Certified ISO Lead Auditor from Cranfield University UK.

Steve Rider


Steve made his first F1 documentary for ITV in 1978 and has been involved in the broadcasting of the sport ever since. Presented with Murray Walker and James Hunt in the eighties and nineties, and helped lead the consortium that won the ITV F1 Production contract in 1996.

Went on to host the ITV coverage in 2006, 2007 and 2008.

Co-produced and presented the SKY F1 Legends series. In the mid-eighties Steve set up the British Touring Car Championship TV coverage and persuaded the BBC to take coverage. It is now the only complete, live Motor Racing Championship on British free to air Television and has established itself as a significant British motor sport success story. Steve continues to present.

Steve has hosted F1 launches for McLaren, Lotus, Renault, Benetton, Jordan and Williams and also hosted the FIA Prize Giving Gala in 2016 and 2017. He is well known, also, for hosting the Annual Autosport Awards for twenty eight years .Also hosted the Laureus Awards in St. Petersburg, Abu Dhabi and London.

Royal Television Society documentary of the Year for “A Tribute to Senna” in 1994 and Baftas for 2006 Hungarian GP, 2007 US GP and 2008 Brazilian GP.

Ollie Ring

Head of Media & Editor

Having left roles at KPMG and GSK to work in the esports industry, Ollie has built one of the biggest networks across both the B2B and B2C side of esports.

He’s worked and helped bring esports to publications such as the BBC, the Press Association as well as being featured on Sky Sports, Red Bull Esports and many more.

In his role as Head of Media and Editor, Ollie oversees the day-to-day running of the ESI news operation as well as overall growth of the media arm.

Adam McDaid

Social Media Manager

Adam McDaid is Social Media Manager at Williams Racing, responsible for the development and implementation of strategy to maximise the value of the team’s platforms and their contribution to business performance.

His passion for motorsport began at an early age and soon took him into the rough and tumble world of UK karting. After completing a Masters’ degree in Modern History, this passion continued in a professional capacity as he began his career at Patterrn, a specialist motorsports communications agency in London.

He subsequently moved on to MotorSport Vision at Brands Hatch, and from there to global communications agency Edelman, where he specialised in the digital activations of motorsport sponsorship with Shell.
